The Dalles blends Columbia River Gorge scenery with a historic core and homes from many building eras. Northwest Plumbing Services serves Oregon customers from its St. Helens showroom, offering repairs, water and drain-line work, water heaters, repiping, remodel plumbing, new construction, commercial plumbing, and accessible shower solutions. Contact the office to discuss your needs and confirm availability.
The Dalles sits in the Columbia River Gorge, a region known for its river, layered natural and Indigenous history, and access to scenic outdoor recreation. In the city’s Trevitt’s Addition historic neighborhood, documented homes range from the 1864–1902 primary period and 1903–1937 secondary period, with examples of Gothic Revival, Italianate, Queen Anne, Mission, Colonial Revival, Craftsman, and other styles. That mix means home-care needs can differ: older houses may require careful troubleshooting around legacy layouts and historic finishes, while newer construction may bring different fixture, water-heater, or drain-line questions. Northwest Plumbing Services, family-owned by David and Mindy Sass since 1991, can discuss repairs, repiping, remodels, and other plumbing needs from its St. Helens office. Call to confirm scope and appointment availability. Old St. Peter’s Landmark, an 1897 Gothic Revival former Catholic church, is a tangible historic point of interest downtown.
Whether a home is a century-old residence in a historic area or a more recent build, routine attention to toilets, faucets, disposals, water lines, and drains can help catch small issues before they spread. Northwest Plumbing Services handles plumbing repairs, water and drain lines, repiping, tank and tankless water heaters, remodels, new construction, commercial plumbing, and accessible low-threshold Bestbath showers. For The Dalles projects, the St. Helens office can explain options and arrange an appointment when available; service timing and suitability depend on the property and job. Ask about your specific needs before work begins.
